Private Lessons

Private lessons are the heart of each individual's musical training. Our
our outstanding faculty provides individula instruction in the following areas:

Piano, Voice, Percussion, Drums, Timpani, Trumpet, Violin, Viola, Cello, Dubble Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Recorder, Guitar, Electric Bass, Mandolin, Harp, Fiddle, Harmonica

If you are interested in an instrument that is not listed, please call us. We will make every effort to find someone who can teach you.

Our private lessons are 30, 45 and 60 minute long arranged to fit the student's and the instructor's schedules. We operate on a 32 week session from September through June as well as an 8-week summer session. New students may enrol at any time and we will prorate tuition accordingly. Fees (32 lessons - September through June):
      30-minute lessons: $864.00
      45-minute lessons: $1,296.00
      60-minute lessons: $1,728.00

Our Music School faculty consists of over 70 of the most accomplished performers and music educators in our area. Several are members of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra as well as other locally based professional ensembles. They have received their musical training from institutions that include New England Conservatory, Eastman and Hartt Schools of Music, Harvard, Boston University, Moscow Conservatory and URI, to name only a few.

For an intermediate or advanced student new to The Music School, we may suggest an informal audition to assess that student's needs and to match the student with the appropriate instructor.
