Education Concerts

 This year, the Philharmonic presented "Tunes and Tales," demonstrating the narrative power of music.  The Orchestra  performed selections from Williams' Harry Potter Suite, Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King and Richard Wagner’s The Ride of the Valkyries.  Also on the program were the 1^st and 2^nd place winners of the 2007-2008 Philharmonic Concerto Competition,  Alanna Tonetti Tieppo and Daisy Joo.  An audience sing-along took place at each concert, featuring the round Scotland’s Burning.” Click here to get the teacher’s guide, for helpful concert information.

STAY POSTED for next year's concerts, which will be held on Wednesday, May 6th and Thursday, May 7th 2009 at the VMA Arts & Cultural Center in Providence.  There will be two concerts each day, starting at 9:45 and 11:30.
